Dave & Ellen Plumpe - Retired to Lake Keowee

Greetings from Ellen & Dave Plumpe on Lake Keowee in the far northwest corner of South Carolina!   We retired here from N.Virginia in late 1995 to cut down on traffic and enjoy the friendly natives and splendid lake and mountain scenery in the Smoky Mountain foothills.   When we're not working on the house or socializing, we're into hiking, boating, modelmaking, knitting, woodworking, metalworking, electronics, counted cross stitch, MG cars, azaleas, etc...

One spring, we took pictures of sample blossoms of our more than 30 varieties of azaleas, most of which we brought as cuttings from our old house.   Here are most of them:
